The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Martin de Porres parish is a social ministry formed to help anyone in need --parishioners and non-parishioners alike-- in the Northern Hays County area. The organization has more than 40 volunteers who are members of St. Martin de Porres parish. The mission of the Society is to grow spiritually by offering time, talent, and treasure to help others. The Society provides assistance on a person-to-person basis, which includes food, financial assistance, referral to community resources, and various special projects. At Helping Hands, we are a 100% volunteer organization focused on one goal: to provide the community of Dripping Springs, Texas with a framework of compassionate care designed to assist neighbors in time of need, regardless of their age, sex, disability, race, color, creed, or national origin.

 

First created in the holiday season of 1986 as a result of local needs brought to the attention of the community, Helping Hands has grown to an organization of almost 100 volunteers and has become an integral part of the Dripping Springs community, reflecting the giving spirit of thousands of people who live and work here.
